The logistics of feeding
“Where’s baby Tadhg?” munchkin asked.
“Oh, he’s eating,” I explained.
In typical 3-year-old insistence on being involved, she volunteers,
“I can help feed him!”
Eyeing the big armchair where mommy was busy breastfeeding, Daddy thought fast. “Hey! Isn’t your baby hungry too?”

PC Nazis in My Cookie Factory
Gingerbread PEOPLE? Come on, is nothing sacred?!

PC gingerbread? What’s next? First, why the plural on the gender? Even when it was masculine, it wasn’t gingerbread “men,” it was “gingerbread man cookies.” Second, it would be one thing if there were different gender gingerbread folks in the package; maybe some kids, a mommy . . . but no, not even a transgendered twink gingerbread person in evidence - this is false advertising!

Visitor Pics!
One of the great things about having a newborn baby is that folks love to drop in and get to know the little guy. Daddy may have got a little TOO into the spirit with breakfast though . . . yes, those are St Patrick’s Day Pancakes. The munchkin was so excited about the green pancakes that she insisted her milk be green as well. Ah sure, why not?
I see the world is already hard at the everybody’s-Irish-today thing. President O’Bama has turned the white house fountain green and ABC news has an article: The Top Ten Things You Didn’t Know About Ireland. Among them: Ireland had 40 uninterrupted days of rain during summer of 2007. Ah yes, I remember that “summer” well . . .
