Mr Washcloth
(or How to Clean Your Toddler’s Face with no Fuss)
We used to have a serious issue with the washing of the face. It was the main hurdle of any meal. Screams of, “I DON’T WANT TO WASH MY FACE!!!!” accompanied fits and a thrashing about of the upper body so vigorous that any casual bystander could easily fear it was dramatic prolicide.
And someTIMES, I’ll tell ya . . . (Don’t worry, the pic on the left there is a passive chocolate coma. That was the day munchkin tore into her chocolate pudding so enthusiastically that she passed out mid-pudding. Seriously, one minute it was glorious, slurping bliss and then there was an ominous silence . . . daddy turned around, and there she was: unconscious on her little tray, completely overwhelmed by chocolate. Nevertheless, her messy face there is a good example of the kind of thing that used to be such a challenge).
But all of that was before Mr. Washcloth.
